OCORO Heart Study
Your Home,
Your Data,
Your Heart.
The OCORO Heart Study brings medical-grade wearables and connected devices to your home, at no cost to you.
Your data shapes the future understanding of heart health.
The OCORO Heart Study is designed to change how we understand heart health—all from the comfort of your home. OCORO is about moving past the one size fits all approach in heart care to a better understanding of how unique hearts behave over time and how different heart conditions may relate to one another. We simply observe your health behavior over time using medical-grade wearables and connected devices.
The OCORO Heart Study is:
- Open to adults (18+) in the U.S. with a diagnosed heart condition
- Observational only: no travel, no changes to your current meds.
In collaboration with

Medical-grade wearables and connected devices, at no cost to you.
No clinic. No waiting room. Open the box and you’re set up in 20 minutes.
Continuously tracks heart rhythm, blood oxygen, respiration, temperature, and sleep, 24/7.
A connected arm cuff that captures systolic and diastolic blood pressure plus resting pulse in about 60 seconds, syncs automatically.
A disposable chest patch that captures medical-grade ECG and activity for up to seven days-no charging required.
A scale that connects to the study phone. Each weigh-in takes a few seconds and captures body weight.
Monthly Participant Summary Report
Your health at your fingertips.
Every month, your study data becomes a monthly participant summary report covering heart rate, respiratory patterns, activity levels, and more. Yours to review anytime, yours to share with your doctor.

Your eVO2peak, shown over time
eVO2peak estimates cardiorespiratory fitness, the rate at which your body uses oxygen to meet its energy needs. Your report shows the estimate across study periods so you can track it over time.
Help shape the future of heart care.
Clinic visits offer snapshots. Your continuous data offers the full picture-helping researchers spot patterns, develop smarter treatments, and improve care for all.

About the OCORO Heart Study
What’s in this study?
This study is an at-home, observational study using secure medical-grade wearables, connected devices, and digital tools to learn how everyday heart health changes over time. No drugs or medical procedures.
Here’s what participation looks like:
- A small heart monitor worn one week per quarter
- A weekly check-in with the provided Cardiobracelet for blood pressure and weight readings
- A few short questions in the study app
- With your consent, we’ll work with you to connect your electronic medical record so the study can identify patterns across heart conditions
Who is running the study?
The study is run by Prolaio, the study sponsor. An Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews and oversees the research (IRB # shown in the consent).
Who can join?
This study is open to many in the heart disease community. If you’re an adult (18+) in the U.S. with a diagnosed heart condition, you may be eligible, even if you don’t see your condition on this list. We are currently welcoming people with:
- Cardiomyopathies: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), restrictive CM, arrhythmogenic CM
- Heart valve dysfunction including stenosis, insufficiency or regurgitation: Aortic, Pulmonary, Tricuspid, Mitral
- Arrhythmias: Atrial Fibrillation (AFib/AF), Long QT syndrome (LQTS), Brugada syndrome, catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW), atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia (AVNRT), ventricular tachycardia (VT)
- Heart Failure (HF)
- Hypertension (HTN — high blood pressure)
- And other diagnosed heart conditions
How long will I participate?
How long you participate is entirely up to you. The study runs for up to 5 years, but how long you stay enrolled is your call, anywhere from a few months to the full duration.
Every contribution matters, and you’re free to withdraw or pause your participation at any point.
Is there payment for taking part?
No, you will not be paid for participation.
How do I know if I may qualify?
To find out if you may qualify, you’ll answer an eligibility check online. If you are eligible, you’ll see an electronic informed consent form (e-consent) explaining details and have an opportunity to ask questions before you decide.

Real stories from participants, doctors, and the team behind the study.
The tools clinicians rely on shouldn’t stay locked in clinics. When everyone has access to the technology, research and care improves for everyone.
